Drugstore Haul #2: Supermassive Edition!

When beauty products go on sale, you go shopping. When Chemists Warehouse reduces all of their makeup to 50% off, you go serious shopping. Believe it or not, I was only in my local CW for half an hour before I was at the checkout with my basket of goodies! There are only three major drugstore brands that my CW stocks (although I think some other, larger stores may have more variety -- I'm not too sure), so those were the ones I stocked up on! The perfume section is also right next to it, and I absolutely love perfume (I might have a dozen or so different bottles?) so when I saw that they were also heavily discounted, I knew that they were an investment I had to put my money into!

Britney Spears Fantasy (not pictured) || This is quite an old fragrance by Britney -- I think I was about 13 or so when it came out. I remember being mildly envious of the girls in my class who had it, because it smelled so sophisticated without being too grown up. This was $19.99, down from $59.99 (and yeah, I kinda forgot to take a photo of it -- and then was too lazy to once I'd remembered!).

Britney Spears Believe (not pictured) || I think this scent came out in 2007 or 2008, and I fell in love with it right away! Of course, when you're 15 and 16, you don't usually have the financial means to purchase everything your heart desires, so I had to leave it on the shelf. I'm really excited to wear this, as I remember it being a light scent, and that's great for livening up gloomy winter mornings.

Look at me getting all fancy with my staging!
Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel in "Hearts of Gold FX" || This is a really cute clear polish that has gold glitters with gold hearts. I think it'd be great to put over the top of really bold or dark colours.

Revlon Classic Nail Enamel in "Radiant" || I've been on the lookout for more glittery shades to combat all the metallic and solid colour shades that I own, and I think this is a great addition. I'm not too sure if it's clear with blue glitter or blue with blue glitter, but either way it'll look awesome.

Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel in "Celestial FX" || Now this one I adore. It's clear with silvery glitters and silver stars and moons! How awesome is that? I've worn this one already: I put it over the top of a matte charcoal, so it looked something like the night sky. Unfortunately it was sometimes a little bit difficult to get stars and moons on my brush, so I had to keep dipping it in and swirling about to try and get extra.

Maybelline Express Remover || I'm really curious to try this product. I used to hate wearing nail polish until about November last year and although now I can tolerate it on my nails, I tend to get bored after a few days -- that or it chips from being at work. You're supposed to be able to dip your finger in, twist it around and voila! be polish free! I'm not exactly sure where the polish is supposed to go, and how well it will work after a few uses or after I try it on a textured polish, but I've got high hopes for it.

Maybelline Color Show Brocades Nail Lacquer in "Sapphire Stitch" || This is a really cute dark purple glitter polish with little tiny hexagons that you can only see if you really look. I feel like it has the look of an OPI Liquid Sand polish but without much of the texture.

Rimmel Glam'eyes HD Eyeshadow in "Heart of Gold" || This seems to be a discontinued quad because it's not on the Rimmel website at all. It was in one of the bargain bins at Chemists Warehouse so I can't say that I'm too surprised. I'm a big fan of gold and brown shades, so at $4 I figured I had nothing to lose!

Rimmel Glam'eyes Quad Eyeshadow in "Green Sapphire" || This also seems to be a discontinued quad, but I'm excited to play with it. This has three shades of green, one light and two dark, and a neutral kind of cream colour, which I think will help me to create a wearable everyday look.

Rimmel Glam'eyes HD Eyeshadow in "True Union Jack" || I was really wary about purchasing this item, as the colours didn't really strike me as a set that would wear well together. That being said, however, I have been looking at buying the Too Face A La Mode palette, which has a couple of colours similar to the ones in this. Those rich colours are precisely why I want the palette to begin with so I think that this might be a good product to practice with -- and at $4, it doesn't really matter if it goes wrong.

Rimmel Extra WOW Lash Mascara || Calling a mascara "Extra WOW Lash" sounds a bit funny, doesn't it? This mascara is a repurchase of one that I've had for ages that I think is nearing the end of its reign. Originally I wasn't too impressed by this product -- it doesn't add as much volume as other mascaras -- but I feel like it adds some really good definition, and it does start to work well after the first few uses.

Revlon Lash Potion Volume + Length Mascara || Words like "potion" can really draw a girl in, and I was really excited to purchase this at half price. It's supposed to give "spellbinding volume and supernatural length" -- does it do that? I think I'll need to wear it a few more times before I make up my mind definitively

.

Maybelline Color Show Crayon Khôl Liner in "Vibrant Violet" || Coloured liners have interested me a lot lately, even if I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with them. I think purple (sorry, violet) is a shade that looks great against every eye colour, so I think I'll have some fun with this!

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Metal in "Electric Blue" || I bought this much for the same reason that I bought the liner. I'm a big fan of the Color Tattoo cream shadows, I think they're absolutely gorgeous and practically fool-proof to apply.

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Metal in "Silver Strike" || And now I have all of the metallic Color Tattoo shadows! I think this would be well suited for an evening look, and I really want to see how looks lined up against a black gel liner.

Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in "Pure White" || I don't have a liner that's an actual pencil so I'm curious to see how this turns out. I'm a bit wary of pencil liners and I don't know how well it'll apply, but I'm hoping for a good colour payoff that goes on smoothly.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Gloss in "Hot Pink"|| I really like this lip gloss. It's a gorgeous strong, shimmery pink without being too pink and unnatural on my lips. It's not the most glittery lip gloss that I've ever used, but then it's not marketed as such.

Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in "Crystal Clear" || I love clear glosses, and I own several different ones. I look for lasting power in a clear gloss and the coloured Vinyl Gloss I own certainly has that, so I think this is a good purchase, especially at half price.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in "Apocaliptic" || This shade keeps popping up in YouTube videos and I've recently leaned towards pink lip products to try something different. I've worn this a couple of times and I really enjoy it. There's something about the formula that makes it different to other lip glosses that I've got, but I've yet to put my finger on what it is exactly.

Maybelline Baby Lips SPF20 Lip Balm in "Anti-oxidant Berry" || These lip balms seem to be some kind of staple in makeup collections of both Yodas and Padawans alike. I really hope that this lives up to the hype, because I'm quite particular about what I expect from a balm.

Maybelline Baby Lips Color Lip Balm in "Pink Lolita" || I'm hoping for a sheer pink tint from this balm, but I haven't even taken the lid off this yet so I might do so to immediately see that I'm really, really wrong! This claims to be SPF16, which strikes me as weird. Why 16? Did they look at their SPF formula and go, "Hey let's just chuck an extra one in for good luck!"? Still, the more SPF the better, I guess, because there's nothing nice about burned lips.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in "As You Want Victoria" || I tested this out for the first time today and I love it. It's a beautiful reddish pink colour that goes on like butter and leaves behind a stain once the smooth texture wears off.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in "Piccadilly Pink" || I can't lie, I didn't even look at the tester in the store, I just picked this up thinking it might be a true girly pink colour (which kinda scares me, but everyone should have one!). It's more a natural pink on my lips, which I really like, and I have a feeling that I'm going to read for this one a lot this month.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Automatic Lip Liner in "Red Diva" || I've come to realise that I've got a long way to go to applying lipstick well. I don't have a problem with glosses, but lipsticks... I picked this lip liner in the hopes that I'll be able to teach myself where to place the product. It sounds absolutely ridiculous  -- I mean, seriously, where else would you put lipstick but on your lips? -- but I have trouble when it comes to the edges, and I think a liner is a great way to get myself into shape on that.

And that's the end of my supermassive black haul! (See what I did there? No? Yes? I should stop making lame jokes? Okay.) I can definitely say that I don't have any outrageously late Wednesday Weekly post from last week, and, due to time constraints with my uni assignments, I likely won't have one up this week either. Nope, it might just be a case of toasted sandwiches!

Also, I'm finally all hooked up to Bloglovin', so follow me if you fancy staying up-to-date with my Padawan journey!

Do you have any of the products that I've bought? How do you feel about them?
